Eggs play a great role in the diet of every bodybuilder. The egg is a great source of protein, it has all the vital amino acids needed for building the muscles. So, it is known as the complete protein food.

Most of the bodybuilders eat raw eggs and it is scientifically proven that the cooking decreases the vitamin in raw eggs. Protein is essential for every bodybuilder in building the muscles. So, eggs contain all amino acids to gain the muscle strength and can be used in some types of protein powders also.

Muscle growth occurs when the amount of muscle created through exercise exceeds the amount of muscle protein breakdown naturally. Amino acids play a major role in building muscles for bodybuilders and athletes. Nutritional scientists suggest that the bodybuilders should consume 2.3-3.1 grams of protein per kg of body weight. This means an average of 70kgs will require 161 to 217 grams of protein per day. So, it is safe to eat up to 4 eggs per day which will supplement 11-15% of daily protein requirements.

Egg protein is a superfood for bodybuilding with essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. It helps to gain the body weight and strength. Though eggs contain cholesterol, it is generally accepted as dietary cholesterol which does not increase the blood cholesterol level. Eggs ensure a balanced diet for every bodybuilder.
